Modern Ruffles

Once a must-visit on any shopping trip, it’s been several years since I ventured into Warehouse, or visited them online.

Over the weekend I had some time to kill whilst waiting for a prescription, so popped into Outfit to see if anything caught my eye (strictly sale-rack only during this time of the month).

There, I picked up a baby blue cap sleeve body by Miss Selfridge, for a minuscule £3 (!), and this stunning pale grey knit, £18 down from £40, by Warehouse.

I absolutely love the mini ruffles running along the neckline, which also give the cuffs its feminine detail. Perfect with lightwash ripped Daisy Dukes (with tights until about May, mind), or a pair of tailored dark culottes and an ankle strap heel, to glam it up.

No accessories needed, as the detail on this jumper is likely to set off any outfit perfectly…

She’s So Shady

Much to my delight, we seem to have finally bagged ourselves a one-way ticket to spring. To celebrate, I decided on a recent trip to Birmingham Bullring (more goodies to come) to treat myself to a new pair of aviator shades.

Now I know £12 isn’t really buying to last, but similar to wine glasses (!) I seem to have a tendency to drop/smash these with ease, much like I managed to on my jollies in Cancun last October…

I opted for this classic silver pair – perfect with pretty much anything, but here a few outfit options off the top of my head include:

  • Ripped spray-on-skinnies & a boho cami
  • Black side split maxi skit & bright cami
  • Foaty floral mini dress & diamante flat sandals
  • and the ultimate match.. BIKINI & sandy surroundings 😉

In Vogue: February

At this moment in time, with the sun shining and one or two birds chirping away in the distance, my mind has suddenly surged forward to warmer days and hazy evenings.

In light of this, February’s In Vogue comes in the form of this stunning H&M scuba skirt, which I recently bought online for a bargain £39.99. I’ve never usually been a fan of the larger, more structured skirts, usually opting for a slick pencil, or A-Line mini, but I thought this was an exception.

I love the colourful butterfly pattern – although it’s quite busy I can also see it being extremely versatile. As the warmer months creep forward I’ll be teaming with a white sleeveless shirt or simple colour block tee, and accessorising with simple earrings, bangles and perhaps a statement ring, depending on the occasion.

The only shoes suitable for this specific length have to be heels – it’s a no brainer. I’ll be opting for my new ankle strap tan pair, which I recently ordered from New Look – look out for my blog post on these gems in the coming days ❤ x x x
